Is there a charge for upgrades?

All 1.x updates (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc) will be free for existing customers. There will be no upgrade charge until the 2.0 release. When 2.0 is released, the upgrade price will be significantly lower than the initial purchase price.

What are the license terms for Knapsack? What's a Family Pack?

Our license terms are simple. You should read the official end-user license agreement from our lawyer, but basically it boils down to:

  • Single-User: install and use Knapsack on a single computer at a time. You can install on multiple computers, but Knapsack can only be used on one machine at a time.
  • Family-Pack: install and use Knapsack on up to five computers in a single household. This allows up to five family members to use Knapsack on up to five different computers at the same time.

I've purchased my license, how do I register my copy of Knapsack?

You should have received an email from our store (sent from "TinyPlanet Software") containing your License Key and Receipt. If you have Knapsack installed on your computer, just click on the "Click Here to Activate Now" link in the email and you're done. Knapsack will automatically launch and register itself. Easy, huh?

OK, I got the email, but the License Key link is not clickable. Now what?

If you can't click on the "Activate Now" link, you can copy and paste the license key:

  • Select the full text of the license key
  • Choose Edit > Copy
  • Launch Knapsack
  • Choose Knapsack > Register Knapsack
  • Choose Edit > Paste
  • Click the Register button

I've lost my license key, can you send it to me again?

Sure thing. Just head on over to our lost-license retrieval page, enter the email address you used to purchase the license, and your license key and purchase receipt will be re-sent to your email address.
